The purpose as written by Ian Wilson:
Gene's purpose in creating the SOTW was not really as an accolade but as a
vehicle to 'out' surveyors.
It was Gene's intention to focus a spotlight on a particular land surveyor each
week.
The surveyor would post a bio and a photo so we could all get to know who we
are chatting with.
